The VideoGoal system based on videoReferee®-8B is perfectly suited for the Junior Hockey Leagues (JHL) and Women's Hockey Leagues (WHL). The budget system meets all the requirements of the JHL and WHL, while providing all the features and functions of top-level systems. The VideoGoal videoReferee®-8B bundle includes a multichannel recording and instant replay server (up to 8 HD channels), 5 referee cameras mini-II-vR-Cam (wide-angle and zoom cameras) and a specialized control panel.

videoReferee®-8B has 8 HD-SDI inputs for recording the signals from cameras covering the ice rink. All mini-II cameras in the bundle are specialized cameras for video-refereeing developed by Slomo.tv. They not only provide a clear high-quality video for the analysis of controversial moments, but also support CloudyGenlock® - the "cloud" synchronization technology.
The mini-II-vR-Cam cameras work synchronously - all cameras work at the same frame and line frequency and are synchronized by phase.
The undoubted convenience of the mini-II cameras is that they are controlled via Ethernet and powered via Power over Ethernet (POE) technology. The cameras have an input for connecting analog audio, which can be used to capture audio signals. Thanks to the color correction function, video from these cameras can be used in TV broadcasting or shown on video cubes in the arena (if allowed by the Regulations).

The VideoGoal referee’s workplace includes a monitor with the referee interface and a specialized control panel - vR-Control or Control-VR. This allows the operator or the video referee to adjust the playback speed, mark events, magnify (zoom in) the image and follow the live game from 1, 2, 3 or 4 cameras simultaneously.
If required by the Technical regulations of the League or competition, the VideoGoal referee output from videoReferee®-8B system can be provided to the review monitor on the ice rink.

The VideoGoal videoReferee®-8B bundle includes specialized compact and lightweight mini-II-vR-Cam cameras manufactured by Slomo.tv.
The cameras are available in 2 versions:
mini-II-vR-Cam-zoom – 3G/HD camera with built-in 10x zoom lens and viewing angle up to 54°.
mini-II-vR-Cam-zoom-Wide – Wide-angle 3G/HD camera with built-in 3x zoom lens and viewing angle up to 105°.

The camera plan for the VideoGoal system
The VideoGoal system includes 5 cameras: 2 behind the goal, 2 above the goal and panoramic wide-angle camera. All cameras are connected to the server.
Since the server can record up to 8 channels, it is possible to connect additional cameras, for example, the "blue line" cameras. If necessary, a TV broadcast signal can be also connected to the server.
