Having 24 video channels allows using both the referee's cameras and television cameras, providing more angles for reviewing controversial moments.
Referees can review a controversial moment simultaneously from multiple cameras, frame by frame, or in slow motion. Slow motion video clips can be added to the television broadcast.
With 24 video channels, videoReferee®-5G/5GHS can meet all requirements at the KHL level and above.
4 inputs for high-speed 100/120 fps cameras
videoReferee®-5GHS supports up to 4 high-speed cameras. Reviewing footage from 4 SuperMotion cameras will allow the video referees to make a correct decision in the most difficult to assess zones of the court: the blue lines and the goal areas.
Hybrid video array
Hybrid SSD/HDD video array with 24 channels provides high speed recording and playback during system operation and at the same time provides a large amount of memory for the archive.
Additional workplaces
videoReferee®-5G/5GHS supports up to 5 independent remote workplaces, including a wireless tablet for the on-field referee. Each remote workplace operator works independently of the others.
The remote workplace option can help organize the referee infrastructure in accordance with the KHL regulations.
Remote workplaces option
Remote workplaces are used for the operation of the Situation Room and allows KHL referees and operators to make decisions independently of the rest of the arena staff.
Workplace organization and equipment
The system is equipped with 4 graphics ports for interface monitors. The referee workplace is equipped with a standard monitor, or a MultiTouch monitor with a gesture interface.
The dedicated Control-VR control panel provides fast operation and instant access to all cameras, presets, and other functions.
Referee buttons can be connected to the server for convenient event marking.

Gadget Control
The Gadget Control option allows to connect to the server from a referee tablet via WI-FI. This allows the referee to search, view and analyze controversial game moments right on the playing field. The interface has intuitive gesture control.
Synchronizing video from non-synchronous cameras
videoReferee®-5G/5GHS can be used in various arenas, including those where the installed cameras are not externally synchronized. As a solution, SLOMO.TV has developed a technology that allows video synchronization from non-synchronous cameras when reviewing controversial moments.
To achieve absolute synchronicity, the videoReferee® replay system can be equipped with specialized mini-II-vR-Cam referee cameras that support CloudyGenlock® technology.
Game data control
videoReferee®-5G/5GHS supports two ways of integrating official game data:
- Direct scoreboard controller connection and data output to the interface video window;
- Game scoreboard broadcast overlay on the video windows.
At the end of the event, all game data will be saved and available for export.
Referee control panel Control-VR
Specialized referee control panel Control-VR by SLOMO.TV is designed to enhance the speed and comfort of server operations. To assist the operator, 35 RGB-illuminated buttons offer indications and prompts, while the technologically advanced Jog/Shuttle wheel, featuring four bearings and a Hall effect sensor, guarantees both precision and longevity of the assembly.
Control-VR has been designed with all specifications for video refereeing in mind.
The remote control has the following functions:
- Switching between the cameras displayed on the monitor
- Switching the number of cameras displayed on the referee monitor – 1 / 2 / 3 or 4 cameras
- Viewing zoomed in images from a selected channel
