Affordable Replay and Recording server with 10GbE connectivity and DMR™ Racks

Versatile, powerful and affordable broadcast-grade slow motion and multi-channel recording server. It is perfectly suited for both basic and relatively complex tasks.

The compact size of the server and the wide range of available options make it indispensable for live events, sports broadcasting and recording for editing of TV programs. Like all slomo.tv servers, Arrow III offers record-breaking performance of the replay interface.

Arrow III is equipped with 8 bi-directional SDI I/Os. In its basic configuration, the server supports the 662 replay mode for HD: 6 recording + 6 search + 2 playback channels + FX.

The top replay configuration provides:

  • For HD: Up to 7 recording + 7 search + 2 playback channels + FX
  • For 3G: 6 recording + 6 search + 2 playback channels + FX.

Record-breakingly fast and high-performance replay interface

Fast and intuitive push-button replay interface. A skilled operator needs 1.5 times less time to create and save clips than with other servers.

High performance comes from the following features of slomo.tv servers:

  • Simultaneous search on all channels
  • A unique feature of slomo.tv systems; not available on other servers.

  • Automatic clip creation
  • In Instant Replay mode, all aired clips are automatically saved into playlists.

  • Specialized replay controller
  • Direct access to most of the functions. The controller's tactile interface allows the operator to work blindly.

  • Unique combination of slomo.tv's Jog/Shuttle, server performance and advanced algorithms
  • With only Jog/Shuttle, the operator controls the search speed: from very accurate to very fast.

2 graphics ports

Two configurable graphic ports allow setting up each of them to display different interfaces:

  • Main interface
  • Multiviewer
  • Game Analyzer

Dedicated Multiviewer

High-speed operation is also achieved by a dedicated Multiviewer, which can be displayed on an additional monitor (together with the one built into the main interface). Several types of video window layouts are available, from which a replay operator can select the one most suitable for his current work.

The system interface is designed so that the operator's attention is always focused on the monitor. Live windows, service information, clip and playback information, and other necessary data are always in front of the operator's eyes.

The simple, fast and well-thought-out slomo.tv interface allows you to start producing replays in just 15 - 30 minutes of training. Further training deepens knowledge and skills and significantly increases operator's productivity. Experienced operators can work single-handedly with 12-15 video channels simultaneously.

The basic replay interface is designed so that replay operators who have experience with other systems can quickly and seamlessly switch to new equipment without performance loss.

Game Analyzer – Analysis of the moment with graphics

Allows performing server-side analysis of the moment by superimposing graphical elements, text, and free graphics without the use of additional external tools.

Multiskin function

A single graphical monitor can be used to display different interfaces with the ability to switch between them using a replay controller. For example, the operator uses the Main Interface for editing, and quickly switches to Multiviewer when Instant Replay is needed.

The Multiskin function is useful for compact installations.

Automatic clip creation

In Instant Replay mode, all aired replays are automatically saved to Instant Replay playlists. Clips are immediately available for inclusion in playlists created by the operator.

The replay interface provides quick access to clips or playlists (up to 100 playlists) via hotkeys.

SSM cameras support

The Arrow III servers are integrated with Super Slow Motion cameras from most manufacturers, providing support for 2x, 3x, 4x SuperMo (e.g. Panasonic AK-UC4000), Xtra Motion 6x (GVG LDX-86 HS/XS) and HyperMotion (1000 FPS Ikegami HiMotion-II) cameras. The number of required SDI inputs depends on the camera's shooting speed.

SSD-based subsystem

The server has a SSD-based disk array, providing high performance when working with a high number of channels. The server instantly responds to control commands. The SSD-based subsystem makes the system resistant to mechanical impact (shock and heavy vibration).

The basic disk subsystem capacity is 66 hours of 100 Mbps HD video. The built-in storage capacity can be expanded up to 133 hours of HD video 100 Mbps.

Transfer function – integration into the network environment

Arrow III servers support exchanging of video materials between locally networked slomo.tv servers.

The Arrow III is equipped with a 2-port high-speed 10GbE interface for video exchange and integration into a network environment of TV companies. In addition, 10GbE allows recording to the NAS.

DMR™ technology – Direct multi-channel recording into NLE native files

When working with DMR™, the server, in parallel with recording to a built-in video array, records the native NLE system files on any available media. (For example NAS or HDD/SSD drives installed in server's front panel racks).

Supported codecs are: ProRes; AVID DNxHD; DVCPro HD; DVCPro 50; IMX; XDCAM 50; AVC-Intra 100/XAVC. Thanks to the parallel recording to the built-in array and to file media, the material is duplicated and kept safe.

Built-in DMR™ Racks – Export, Import and multi-channel recording direct in NLE native file formats on removable SSDs/HDDs

The Arrow III is a self-contained 2U server for multi-channel recording of TV shows and events for NLE to removable drives without any additional hardware. Arrow III is equipped with 3 built-in DMR™ Racks for 3.5" SATA HDDs for export and import of video material, as well as for recording for non-linear editing native files and codecs with DMR™ technology (DMR™ option).

Up to 8 HD channels can be recorded simultaneously, which makes the system a good space saver alternative to big 4U-6U servers.

Support for growing files

With the DMR™ option, the server works with growing files (MXF, XDCAM 50).

Replay console

The server comes with a Control ZR replay console.

Control ZR is designed for maximum speed and efficiency. It has 51 RGB backlit buttons with light and color indication, providing hints for the operator. The control panel provides direct access to 24 cameras in replay mode.

The console comes with Jog/Shuttle and T-bar. The Shuttle wheel has 64 left and right positions, which allows controlling the search and the playback speed. Control console can be connected via RS-232/422, USB and Ethernet. It is powered by PoE or by USB.

Demo licenses

With each server, the user gets 20 demo licenses for single use of various options for testing the options in real production.
