videoReferee®-SR - mobile Video Assisted Review system for sports video-refereeing
The videoReferee®-SR system is the 7th generation of Video Assisted Review systems. It is based on the most successful compact replay server Simple R and became the mobile solution for sport video-refereeing in competitions of any level of complexity and importance. The server’s dimensions (1U) and weight (5.6 / 6.1 kg with a redundant power supply) are suitable for hand luggage.
Up to 12 HD-SDI or 10 3G-SDI recording channels
Marking of controversial moments "live" or on recorded video
Integration of scoreboard data into recorded video
Export of recorded material
Optional gesture-based interface for referee’s monitor
Suitable for transportation in standard hand luggage
Great solution for various sports
videoReferee®-SR Series includes 3 models: videoReferee®-SR, videoReferee®-SR 3G, videoReferee®-SR III

Up to 12 Full HD cameras
The multi-camera videoReferee®-SR system provides the ability to analyze the controversial moments synchronously from several cameras, frame-by-frame or in slow motion.
The referee’s interface can be outputted to a review area monitor installed next to the field or to the TV broadcaster (RRA option).
Work with non-synchronous video sources
videoReferee® can work with cameras without external synchronization. Specialized technology, developed by Slomo.tv, allows synchronizing video streams from non-synchronous cameras when analyzing controversial moments.
Comfortable and quick analysis of controversial moments
VideoReferee®-SR systems have all necessary functions for comfortable refereeing:
- Event marking and synchronous search of recorded material
- Intuitive and high-performance interface for quick preparation of video material for review
- Ability to review controversial moments from 1 or 4 cameras simultaneously frame-by-frame or in slow motion
- Zoom in/out for detailed review
- Loop playback of the selected video
- Formation of camera presets convenient for working with certain areas
- Integration with the most popular scoreboard controllers
Event marking
Events can be marked live or on recorded video and are instantly available for review. When an event is created, the system remembers the currently active channel. If integrated with a scoreboard controller, automatic event marking can be configured. Marked events are also used to create reports with controversial game moments.
The Control-VR control panel allows assigning keywords to event marks and searching by them.
Workplaces
The system has 3 graphics ports for connecting interface monitors. The standard system configuration includes two monitors – referee interface with controls and engineering interface with built-in Multiviewer of all channels, event list, the referee monitor window and referee controls. The video referee's workplace is equipped with a standard or MultiTouch monitor for working with the gesture-based interface (supplied by the user).
In the case of limited space and/or personnel, both interfaces can be displayed on a single monitor using the MultiSkin function.
The third monitor can be used as a separate Multiviewer.
Specialized Control-VR control panel is included with the system and provides instant access to all available cameras, presets and most of the functions.
Field browsing
When working with 50i/60i video, videoReferee® allows in addition to frame-by-frame viewing of recorded video, to view fields. This feature allows analyzing all phases of the movement. Even when standard video cameras are used this feature doubles the number of movement phases to 50 and 60 for 50i/60i respectively.
Integration with scoreboard controllers
Slomo.tv systems are integrated with the most frequently used scoreboard controllers. Official game information - teams, time, score, attack time - is displayed in each video window of the system and is updated in real time, providing the video referee with constant access to it.
Currently, the system supports the following match controllers: Westerstrand, Nautronic NTpult, Nautronic NAUCON-1000, Bodet, Omega Saturn, Megalux, NataInfo, Victory, VITA, Araneus-NGLight, ElTablo, Stramatel, Colosseo, CEDR, Favero Console-700.
Export of video material to external media
The system records signals from all cameras on the built-in disk array. After the end of the match, all the recorded material or only the clips containing the selected moments can be exported in H.264 format to an alienated digital media. If the system is integrated with a match-controller, official game information (game time, real time, score, period) is displayed on each channel.
SSD-based disk array
VideoReferee®-SR is based on SSDs, which provides a high capacity of built-in storage and makes the system lightweight, reliable and insensitive to vibrations during transportation.
