Slomo.tv announced a new addition to its product line – Simple R , the most compact solution for SD/HD instant replays. Its size: 1 RU, 29 cm. Weight - 4.8 kg.
In industry terms Simple R is an 8-channel system - simultaneous recording of 3 video channels, search on all 3 recorded channels and playback of 2 channels with transitions between them. It uses the proven industry-leading codec DVCPro 50/DVCPro HD.
The system features a new, specially redesigned multiviewer interface -- three input channel windows and three windows for immediate review and search. There is also a preview window with industry-standard interface.
The new system has three HD/SD-SDI Inputs, HD/SD-SDI Output, Sync and LTC.
RS-422 interface also supplies power to a Control Z remote control. For integration with mixers there is a GPIO port.
Slomo designers have achieved a storage capacity of up to 125 hours of HD video with DVCPro HD quality, which is remarkable even for full-size systems, and is absolutely unique for the small size of the Simple R.
Among the unique features of the new "baby" is a recording function of 3 uncompressed Full HD 4:2:2 10 bit signals.
During recording, in addition to multiviewer visualization, a separate Full HD video monitor can be attached to the system via HD SDI interface.
Export of recorded video for editing is carried out in 10-bit uncompressed Quick Time (codec v210).
- Support of high-speed SuperMotion cameras 3x (requires three separate input channels).
- Export of recorded material in formats Apple Final Cut and Avid MC.
- Simultaneous 4-channel recording with subsequent MXF / Quick Time export of recorded material. Exports may be made to a network file server via 1GbE interface or to external trayless double 3.5" SATA HDD rack.
- 2x storage expansion (up to 132 hours of recording in SD or 66 hours of recording in HD)
- 4x storage expansion (up to 250 hours of recording in SD and 125 hours of recording in HD).
Simple R along with other Slomo.tv products will be on display at IBC2012 in Hall 8, stands 8.A94 and 8.B11.
