Slomo.tv demonstrated what the company calls the world's smallest video broadcast grade replay server and videoReferee® system Ripley Plus in the form factor of the replay controller. The unit supports a 6Rec+6Search+2Play channels configuration, and can work as an 8-channel videoReferee®-R video judging system that meets the minimum FIFA requirements for VAR.

The appliance provides simultaneous recording of six HD video inputs, playing two channels with transition effects and searching on all six recorded channels. The maximum capacity of the built-in SSD storage is now up to 133 hours of 100mbit HD video. Despite its ultra-compact form factor, Ripley Plus supports 2x-3x SuperMotion cameras.

A claimed unique feature of is the presence of four SDHC standard memory card slots on the side panel. The cards can be used for export and import of video content, as well as for recording of incoming video signals in H.264 or AVC-Intra 50Mbit.

Slomo.tv reports that Ripley has been deployed as replay server for multiple fly-away installations in Europe.
