videoReferee^® by slomo.tv is rightly considered to be the best sports video judging system. This is in part because the company can create these easy to operate specialized systems for different applications and conditions.

The new basketball judging system videoReferee^®-B met all major FIBA requirements: compliance with regulations, compactness, integration with scoreboard controller, the ability to display the video judging process on the secondary monitor and at a reasonable price.

The compact system supports 4 SD or HD cameras connected via the SDI or HDMI interface. It is based on the 2U short Arrow platform, which makes it easy to transport. The system provides HDD storage for 50 hours of HD broadcast quality video and can work with one or two monitors. Its multiskin function allows comfortable operation using a single monitor in a confined space.

The referee’s interface via HDMI™ output can be displayed on a big screen or provide a signal to TV broadcasters using HDMI to SDI converter. vR controllers are connected via USB interface.

Integration with scoreboard controllers for official game information, including timings is in accordance with FIBA requirements.

The 3.5" SATA trayless/toolles rack allows storing exported materials on standard 3.5" SATA drives.

For many years now our instant replay systems are using remote console Control Z connected via RS-422. To meet customer requests for a flexible choice of connection interfaces the new version of controller allows to connect it to server via the following interfaces: Ethernet 10 / 100Mbit; USB 1.1 / 2.0; RS-232; RS-422. Type of interface is selected in configuration menu at the startup. The option to have sound when pressing the keys have also become available.

Control-Zx can use PoE and of course power from the USB.

In order to maintain compatibility with already installed systems, we did not change the controller connector. Connections to Ethernet or USB are done by simply selecting the appropriate adapter cable.

Another implemented feature is Cascading. Now using a special cable you can connect a second controller to the same system. The second controller can be Control Z/Zx or mini Control 6/10.

New controllers can be ordered right now.

Slomo.tv has integrated its replay servers with Grass Valley LDX 86 HS/XS camera. At the moment, all servers supporting 3G-SDI, can be issued a license for working with this camera. For the operators working with this camera is no different than working with 3x, 2x or normal speed cameras.

It should be emphasized that slomo.tv offers a wide range of servers for this camera - from the top BlackJack AT/3G, the world's only server that supports 4 such cameras, to a compact budget solution on the basis of Simple R 662 Plus. Like all Simple R family servers, the 662 Plus is 1U - 45 cm and weighs 5.8 kg., which is the smallest size of any broadcast class servers.

The Full HD 6X LDX 86 HS/XS camera is positioned between HyperMotion and SuperMotion cameras. Because of its unique ability to capture 360 movement phases per second this camera, unlike most HyperMotion cameras, allows external servers to record video directly at full speed. The camera can work in interlaced or progressive mode sending video using 3 3G-SDI signals.

At frame rate of 2 times the standard 3x camera it can be used at sporting events, where before it was necessary to use HyperMotion camera.

The LDX 86 HS/XS camera and Simple R 662 Plus were used during Beach Volleyball Grand Slam broadcasts and can be seen on IBC2015 slomo.tv stand 8.B40.

Lithuanian Basketball League – Lietuvos krepšinio lyga (LKL) is one of the leaders in the world of basketball. It holds the 4th place in FIBA ranking of men's teams. During its annual seminar for coaches and referees held on September 3 in Druskininkai participants had a chance to test a video judging system for basketball – videoReferee^®-B. This test coincided with the latest changes and additions to basketball rules presented at the seminar.

The system was tested at a special game between teams of Kazakhstan and Zalgiris, Kaunas.

It was used quite a few times and every time referees and coaches praised its ability in helping to resolve contentious issues.

The next step will be extensive testing of videoReferee^® systems at regular games of Lithuania championship.

The trial was organized by TVC, distributor of slomo.tv products for Baltic region.

Simple R 442 recorded the Sony NEX-FS700 camera used in 120 frames per second mode. Yes .. It is not a real SuperMotion camera, but in capable hands its 9-second Burst Mode allows you to show a real SuperMo.

Video from Sony NEX-FS700 was recorded by one of the Simple R channels, and all this together produced quite a show. Enjoy the video :-)

To lose a game is always disappointing. But emotions to a loss due to a refereeing error is simply impossible to describe in words.

That is why KHL is committed to completely eliminate such errors. An important role in this effort plays the videoReferee^® system. It is the most powerful and convenient tool for sports video judging, which deservedly become the most popular in the KHL. As a consequence the name of our systems has become a household name in the industry, 16 videoReferee^®-IIM2/3G systems are installed on the Arenas used for matches of the League.

We are pleased that this year in the off season, our systems have appeared in the new arenas. Now they work at Legends Arena - HC "Dynamo" Moscow and Small Sports Arena - Luzhniki - HC "Spartak". In addition, the HC "Spartak" has chosen a system videoReferee^®-VHL for its farm-club - "Khimik" Voskresensk.

It should be emphasized that beside high quality and continuous improvement in functionality of videoReferee^® servers what makes them so popular, is that many clubs prefer to have on their arenas all equipment made by the same company. Slomo.tv in addition to servers also produces a complete set of cameras, including wireless and panoramic cameras. Such complete set was installed at the Small Sports Arena.

We are happy that our 2007 invention of video judging system for ice hockey still currently exists in its original form.

The user of our Simple R replay servers, Lithuanian broadcaster Zoom.TV, provided broadcasts of FIBA U16 European Championship Man. For this event Zoom TV used two Simple R 331 systems with Transfer option to share clips and playlists between them.

This is a good example of a smaller company, which have the slomo.tv servers Simple R 331, can easily transform its capabilities by using several small servers with Transfer option connected via Ethernet network.

The advantages of this solution:

1. Budget - allows using already available systems and scale them, depending on the tasks;
2. Less demanding workload of operators due to the use of systems with a small number of channels (in this case - 3);
3. Simultaneous display of Live and Search channels on user-friendly interface.

A new universal version of vR Control (videoReferee^® remote controller), is now available. The major difference from the previous model is in connecting interface. Now vR Control can be connected via any one of three interfaces - RS-232, RS422 or USB. Previously, each interface required a special model of the console. We also added a color indicator so that the user coud see which preset camera/channel configurations is on. This feature is supported by the new videoReferee^® software.

All new systems will include the new version of the remote console. Also, the new vR Control is backward compatible with older versions of the software and can be ordered separately.

LRT (Lithuanian National Radio and Television) company has been using a 6 channel recording and replay system, Dominator SD, since 2009. The positive experience of using the multichannel system in sports broadcasting and recording for NLE using DMR™ technology determined the choice of equipment for a new HD OB Van – two Dominator family servers by slomo.tv. The new 10-camera HD OB Van built by TVC ("TELEVIZIJOS IR RYŠIO SISTEMOS") includes Dominator AT/HD and Dominator HDL. This solution provides replays from 12 cameras by two operators, which allows OB Van to broadcast international competitions of any level. Recording for NLE using DMR™ (Direct Movie Record) with wide selection of codecs - Apple ProRes 422, DVCPro HD and HDCAM422 satisfies requirements of a wide variety of customers.

The new LRT OB Van includes 10 Sony HSC-100RT cameras, Canon lenses, SNELL switcher, Chyron graphics equipment and TV Logic professional HD monitors.
