slomo.tv systems for multi-channel recording and slow motion replay were successfully used at Hanty-Mansiisk broadcast of World Biathlon Cup Tour, March
Two systems — Dominator (6 recording and 2 replay channels) and Fulcrum (4 recording and 2 replay channels) provided the capability to broadcast slow motion replays from 10 channels. The two systems where linked by a direct connect option, which allowed to output replays from either system. Synchronized PlayLists from both systems at the end of each broadcast produced a combined Summary of all 10 channels.
During this broadcast a new revolutionary option — "events logging" was used. The logging option allowed the operators of replay machines at any moment to have access to automatically generated events list (channel numbers and time-code), showing a certain competitor. With minimum time delays this innovation created a summary for each winner, regardless of all unexpected race events. This option was installed on both slomo.tv systems and on the logging operator's notebook. The logging operator was marking (logging) all 10 recording channels by athlete's number.
Official IBU representatives highly praised the work of this configuration. A preliminary agreement was reached to further enhance system functionality.
In the words of company representative, Mr. Igor Vitiorets, "gained experience, without a doubt will be used in developing added functions for broadcasting of international biathlon and skiing races."
